This has been a long and tedious week for me. But then again, cannot compare with other people, everyone has their own difficulties too. Lol. Anyway, this week feels especially ardous for me. =X Monday to Thursday was spent on URECA. About a few hours per day, especially Wednesday, 5 hours. But there wasn't any contamination for my cells, so HURRAY! XD Hate it when there's contamination. Haha. Anyway, Tuesday was the first general meeting for the URECA club. Met my fellow commitee members for the first time too. And I am really the only Singaporean in the commitee. But it was okay, I mean, its always good to know multi-cultural friends. =)

Today, I went for my Eyebrow treatment again. Lol. Second time to Pink Parlour. The lady who did my brows still remembered me, and my Dad. LOL! For those who dunno, my Dad went into that shop before and asked whether he could do his brows too. I was like O_O. Oh no!!! He is NOT my Dad. LOL! =X But as usual, he joked around, made everyone amused. Haha. I hate to admit it, but I love that part of my Dad. But noooo, I'm not going to say that in front of him. Haha!! =D And yes, my brows are back again. They were already slowly disappearing the past month. Haha. =X Wanted to do my brows then I dun have to draw them for the next month cause its the exam period. Heh. Laziness. =D

And now, I'm still in school, mugging and writing this entry. Till then, cheerios everyone. And to those with upcoming exams, you can do it!!!! XDD

Happy Halloween everyone! Haha. I'm too old for Trick or Treats. But not old enough for shopping for treats for myself. Hee. =D Went out with Da to Orchard today. So happy! It's been SO long since we went out on an official date because everyday is a "Study and Mug Hard" day. Anyway, we went to Orchard MRT. Since we haven't been out to the "real" world since a few months ago, Da and I were pretty amazed with the new EZ-link card machine when we were tapping out. Lol. =X Gosh, it's like we were country bumpkins for a moment. Haha. Anyway, I planned today's itinery to have everything settled in Ion Orchard and lunch at Wisma Atria. =) YAY ME!!

First stop, we went to Watsons. I went to get my Eyebrow Pencil from K-Palette.

K-Palette was first launched in Singapore in 2007. But I only discovered its magic this year. Or probably because I became more vain after my trip back from Brisbane. LOL!! =X Anyway, this is the second eyebrow liner I bought from this brand. So I'm standing by this brand for being able to give me naturally-looking and long-lasting eyebrows throughout the day. =) Also, in the past I would use Eyeliner to draw my brows and smudge it after that so it would not look too dark. But with the K-Palette 24h real lasting eyebrow liner, I just have to brush it over my brows once or twice and it's done! =) Super time-saving product. Especially when you are always in a rush to leave the house. Highly recommended!! XD

After Watsons, Da and I headed over to Forever21! Think its the second time I have ever been to Forever21. Never bothered entering there before, cause I thought the clothes are for people of age 21. Sigh. No idea what I was thinking of. Lol. Anyway, I went there for "official" business, buying my friend's 21st birthday present.

Forever 21 vouchers! Haha. It was a good thing my friend had on a wishlist. Don't really have to crack my brains thinking of what to buy for her. Lol.

After that, I headed up to Sephora. First time in Sephora too. Ah, I am such a "virgin". LOL!! No pun intended. Haha. Anyway, I went there to buy the Sephora Perfecting Cover Foundation and Sephora Smoothing Primer. Both cost $29 and $20 respectively. Was trying to find replacements for the expensive cover-ups that I'm using now. So after reading through many opinions online and also from my friend's blog, Felicia. I decided to go for it. Haven't started using yet though, of course, since I just bought it today. LOL. =X

And after that, we headed to Wisma Atria for lunch. This place brings back memories while I was still working at Singapore Medical Group @ Paragon. Lol. My collegues back then were so fun-loving and so nice to me. They were always calling me "Xiao Mei". Haha. Really miss them. But anyway, lunch was awesome! Hokkien Mee and Char Kway Teow. After that, we headed to Dhoby Ghaut and got ourselves Mini Bubble Milk Tea from Eskimo. Awesome food and awesome company. =D

So ya, after today, I told myself that I am not going out at all till after exams. Well, there's still one more birthday party I have to attend, and that's it. Then its serious mugging time. Carn wait for exams to end!! Will blog next week, after my Daughter's 21st! Haha. Till then, rock on!~ XD

The final entry for the day. This was on the 20th October. I remembered rushing to Parkway from school with Da that day. Horrifying experience... I don't ever want to go home at 530pm every again!! LOL. Okay, I'm exaggerating. =X Heh. But it's really very squuezy and tiring, squashing with people trying to rush back home, probably for dinner or maybe like us, meeting our friends for dinner. But anyhow, we were late, but we had a valid excuse!! Lol. Anyhow, we went to Ichiban Boshi at Parkway for dinner with Miss Chew, Bao Wen and Lian Wei. =)

Have I mentioned how much I simply adore Japanese food. But then, I only always eat Tempura Udon. =P Think everyone knows I am a rigid tick that loves to stick to one type of food everywhere I go. LOL. And that's why I am friends with many uncles and aunties that sell food. I do get more food too. *sniggers* Alright, no idea why I'm bragging. Nothing much to brag about anyway. LOL. And yes!!! FOOOD!!

My Tempura Udon came first. =) But I only nibbled a bit, cause I wanted to wait for everyone's food to come before I show my true food-sucking power. XP

Another kind overdue entry. This was last Sunday. Haha. =X Ya ya, I only upload my blog on weekends, and I tend to upload more than one entry each time. Haha. I'm making use of time optimally, ya? Lol. =P Anyway, another birthday celebration, this time a mini one. Kai Ling's 24th!! Haha. I feel young again! XD HAHAA. Okok, shall not be so evil, will get karma. LOL.

Went to Hougang Avenue 5, a coffeeshop that sells Zi Char for lunch. It's called 燕飞来海鲜馆, and it was advertised on Channel U, I think, just a month ago. Recommended by Kai Ling's bf, Bao Wen. So ya, we headed over there, in the sweltering weather, walking instead of taking bus. =X Its only a 5-10mins walk. But gosh, I think I went one shade darker. Lol. Don't really like the rate I turn dark when exposed to the sun. =X Anyway, the food there was really unique. Maybe not the most delicious dishes but one will not find these dishes anywhere in Singapore that easily. So, definitely must go there to try them out!

These were their 招牌菜. Truly a must try! Also, we bought a durian ice cream cake for the birthdat girl. She insisted on only one birthday candle though. And the cake was super creamy and very shiok for a durian lover. The durian frosting is very thick and the taste was simply superb!!

But because it was an ice-cream cake, imagine the difficulty of cutting in. Lol. I took many photos of the process and many were unglam shots, so I'm just showing a few here, to protect the modesty of my friends. LOL!!!

But finally, the cake was cut, and each of us had a piece~ It was super nice!!~ =D

This is kind of an outdated post (14 Oct). Haha. Anyway, I attended my batchmate's, Cheeri, 21st birthday at Singapore Recreation Centre at City Hall. Was wearing TTR's Dancing in the Rain dress in Chilli Red (M). It's very chio, and the colour really stands out. =)

Interesting place to hold a birthday party, cause it was sort of a bar. Anyway, I rushed from school to attend her party. I'm so nice, I know. LOL!! =X And bygosh, it was definitely not a letdown. The food there was simply superb. One of my friends had 3 or 4 helpings. Haha. Here are some photos of the food.

Apparently the host for that night was the birthday girl's mother. Don't take her for granted ya, her mother's quite the entertainer, and she charges for her service too. Well, of course not for her daughter. LOL. =) And I helped my table to win a tub of chips. Haha. It was really for the rest, cause I don't eat chips at all. Haha. =)

And finally after all the fun and games and glomping down all the food.... It was "cake cutting" time. And the reason why I said "cake cutting" was because there wasn't exactly an entire cake to cut. Lol. Because the cake was made up for many mini cupcakes!!

Dang, I really miss her! She was my fellow trombonist batchmate from Sec 1 to 4 in TKGSSB. And we really stuck through thick and thin. I miss her loudness and weirdness. Haha. Those were fun times... Gahhs, so old now!

Anyway, after that, we headed back home. And I collapsed on the bed. LOL. =X

It has been a long ardous week. But its over! Haha. Well, most of it anyway. Anyhow, this Wednesday, we had a field trip to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. This is a tie-in to the lab session of BS305: Plant Biology. It was quite fun, though the climbing up and down in the muddy environment wasn’t too appealing. Haha. Saw quite a few interesting plants and trees around and I took plenty of pictures. Another reason was because we needed to use the pictures for our lab reports. But ya, here’s a few.

The tallest tree in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. For those who are not sure, the tallest peak in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve was about 160m tall. I have to say that it is not a very goog shot, but then again it is quite hard to take the entire tree in the photo. Lol. Anyway, there is a lightning rod attached to this tree too!

The trunk of the tree is making loops! Lol. Simply magnificent specimen!! (Dang, I’m sounding like a nerd. Wahaha!)

We also headed to Hindhede Quarry. Very pretty sight! Take a look! We took a clique shot and a group shot here. But I don’t have the pictures in my camera. =X


Also, while we were heading over to Hindhede Quarry, we stumbled upon a snake. Think it was a viper, because it had a triangle-shaped head. We were speculating whether it will attack us. LOL =X


After that, we entered the Visitor Centre and headed back home. Took a picture with my Professor, she was the one who helped me with my course matchings when I wanted to go to Brisbane for an exchange! She is a very nice and friendly Prof!!


As we were walking out from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, we saw this house that has about 5-6 Golden Retrievers! So cute!!



Took some photos, but apparently the dogs were biting each other, I hoped they were just playing. =S We didn’t dwell long, because they didn’t really smell that good. Lol.

Anyway, we went out separate ways after we took a bus to Little India. We were very lucky, because it started pouring after we boarded the bus. Woots~ =)

The is kind of a long overdued post. >_< But here goes...

30th September, my Lao Po's 21st birthdayy! =) Went there and got lost. Lousy directions given by Jasmine. LOL. Anyway, Hui Yin and I met at Tampines MRT and took bus 29 all the way to Cranwell Bungalows. It was a very secluded place actually, because while we were lost, there was another guy who was asking us for directions. Lol. Quite amusing. Haha. Finally we got to Jasmine's chalet. And the theme of her party was School Uniforms. I was scolding her for choosing such a theme. Lol. =X Phyllis and I were dressed for the theme but not Hui Yin, because her mother threw her TJC uniform away. Lol.

Phyllis and I had to lower ourselves to be at the same height as Hui Yin. LOL!!

I took more photos and they are uploaded on fb. So I shan't bombard here with too many photos. Anyhow, Jasmine put up some photos of her "life" as she grew up. I didn't manage to take the TJC life though. Because I thought the highlight was the ones she took with her boyfriend. And I had the honour of writing some loveydovey stuff too. LOL.

Apparently, her bf approved. LOL.

It was quite a short gathering, because it was mainly just eating, observing other people and cake-cutting. Couldn't stay till too late either, cause we still had to take the bus back, which was a 30mins long journey. Lol. =X

Later, while we were walking out of the chalet, one of Jasmine's friends asked us whether we wanted to hitch a ride in his car. Woots!~ Of course we went along~~ XD Super lucky!! He dropped us off at Pasir Ris MRT and we went our separate ways. =)

Anyway, I have been down with the flu since Monday this week. It's making me slightly annoyed. =S Also, seem to have gotten a sore throat too. Gahhs. The weather is making people sick. Anyhow, take care everyone, and drink plenty of water. Ciao~ =)
