Sorry for the month long hiatus!! Been enjoying the last few days after the end of my 4 years in NTU and to the completion of my degree. Also, the results of my FYP were also out, scoring the best results I ever got in my entire 4 years in NTU!! Woohoo! And now, I'm job hunting and passing time by helping my mother out and spending more time together as a family. =)

A little update of what I had been doing. =) On 19th May, it was the TJCSB concert that was held at Singapore Conference Hall. Also, the alumni band performed two pieces before the interval. Therefore, other than previously preparing for my Final Year Project, was spending Saturday nights for band practices. Definitely fulfilling! Haha. And for the alumni band members, our outfit was black top with colourful pants!!

FYI, I was wearing bright red pants. HAHAHA! =D And the concert gave me an excuse to buy new pants too!~ XD Oops!! Anyway, the TJ band put up their annual stage band performance which is quite like a musical-style short skit. It was quite hilarious and nonetheless entertaining for the audiences! Haha. Damn, I miss life in school, especially in TJ. =) Oh well, life goes on. So make the best out of everything!!~ =P

Also, after my FYP presentation and the concert, Da and I decided to go to Universal Studios Singapore! Our virgin trip there!! Feel quite sua-ku because we aren't very sure of how to get to Sentosa at first. Lol. Tourists in our own country. Oops. =X Anyhow, we woke up early to make sure we can get on the exciting rides quickly. =) And before we entered USS, photo time!

Our first 2 rides were Human and Cylon. The two rollercoasters! Whoots! =D After that, we headed over to the Mummy's ride. Easily one of the most interesting rides. =) I was quite amused with the two young girls beside me because they were hugging each other so tightly and freaking out. LOL. =P Okay okay, I know I sound like a big show off. But it was really quite funny. =X Heehee. After that, we headed for a live show: Monster Rock. Haha. The actors and actresses were really very versatile, but one sad thing to take note is that Singapore is too quiet a country. Make some noise people!!~ XD Lol. After the show, we waited in line for 40 mins for the Transformers ride. Quite a good ride, but the 40 minute wait wasn't that appealing for a second try. Lol. We had our lunch at an air-conditioned food court selling Malaysian cuisine. Relatively cheaper than the food inside USS.

Next up, we took a wet ride at the Jurassic portion of the park. So-so, not an impressive ride at all. Mainly for families and children I guess. =) And cause we were VERY VERY wet, we decided to dry ourselves before heading for more rides. Lol. Though we weren't totally dry, we went for the roller coasters again, in hopes that we can dry off faster. HAHAH =P So we went another time for Human and 4 more times for Cylon. LOL! Totally losing the thrill of the ride at the end. Lol. Totally made full use of the time in USS. And we left for Vivocity at the closing time. =) Whoots!! Hopefully there will be more additions and rides into USS the next time we head back! =)

And finally the last event for the update! Was given free movie tickets by MoovieSpy for the Premiere of Epic in 3D! =)

Apparently during the premiere of the movie, there was this person in a costume of one of the characters in the movie. There were so many children going to watch the movie too! =) Lol. Anyway, it is a great movie for the family and even for Da and I. Who said cartoons are to be watched by children only. =) Heehee.

Anyway, so now marks the end of my life in University. Provided I do not continue furthering my studies. Lol. Now, I hope I can get a good job and save up, and finally start guiding my life to the path I wish for it to be. Cheerios everyone! Good hunting (for jobs)!! =D

Final year students! Haha. It has been a long 3 years in NTU and we are on to our final lap! =D Anyway, been real busy this week. Just had a graduation photoshoot session with Da and his friends. Haha. Since I haven't graduated yet, I was their photographer (along with Jun Wei's sister). Haha. Quite fun, but very hot and tired at the end of the day. Anyway, when the photos are up, I'll upload a few good ones. Haha. Maybe I can be a photographer! Hurhur. =P Anyway, till then, been real tired these few days. Cheerios~

Whoots! Ended Year 3 with a bang. Haha. Never have I had 3 days consecutive papers. Very hectic and at the third day, my eyes were very droopy. -.- Haha. And the next day, I fell sick. Kind of deserved it, cause I didn't take a well-deserved rest as I promise myself that I would. But anyway, it healed up fast and I managed to clear the remaining 2 papers after that. And now, all I am left with is one more semester of studying and the last semester for my FYP.

Been looking at a lot of people from my batch. Many of them are graduating, those with 3 year programs, and that got me thinking. What do I want to do with my life? Been thinking whether research is a career choice for me. I have always liked working in a lab, playing with my cells. (Gosh, I sound like a nerd. LOL) But, I thought, research is definitely something very different than what I am doing now. I am still being supervised and have a great mentor. But when I really do start my PhD, I would definitely not have such a luxury. So its back to the drawing board while I plan on what job I really wish to pursue. Haha. I know I have one more year to think about my future career prospects, but it's never to late to plan early. =) Nevertheless, I am not going to think about it, just yet. Lol. Contradictory, I know. That's really how a girl's mind works. =X

Anyway back to my life. Lol. Sorry for sounding so self-centered. =X My exams ended one day earlier than my clique of friends. So I was busy playing DOTA and catching up on Vampire Diaries and some Taiwanese Drama called The Fierce Wife/犀利人妻. Both have excellent story plots, especially the latter. The next day, I headed to Marina Square, Pink Parlour to do my brows. And I also signed a package of 7 brow waxing treatment for 2 years. So, saved about $10 overall. Well, I have been there so many times already, and I only entrust my brows to one lady. LOL! And later, I met up with Holly for dinner and shopping. I did no shopping, but Holly did. Lol. Pardon my lack of intelligence of brands, I just found out that Aldo is kind of branded. /facepalm I know I know. Haha. All I want are good shoes that looks nice and last long and are not too expensive. I'm simple like that. Haha. =P Then again, I think my parents and bf are lucky that I'm not swayed by brands. Well, not yet anyway. LOL! Probably when I start working and have the right to spend more, then I will indulge myself in brands. Till then, I am a poor girl. D= HAHA.

Anyway, I won a pair of tickets to watch Avengers this coming Monday! So happy! First time I blogged about Avengers, and I was lucky enough to bag myself one pair of tickets! I managed to save my bf $$ too. Haha. Think he was slightly happy, though he is still busy about his FYP and stuff. Gonna take loads of pictures then. See whether I'll meet anyone I know on Monday. So excited! =) Anyway, Imma going back to play DOTA! Skywrath Mage! =D

This has been a long and tedious week for me. But then again, cannot compare with other people, everyone has their own difficulties too. Lol. Anyway, this week feels especially ardous for me. =X Monday to Thursday was spent on URECA. About a few hours per day, especially Wednesday, 5 hours. But there wasn't any contamination for my cells, so HURRAY! XD Hate it when there's contamination. Haha. Anyway, Tuesday was the first general meeting for the URECA club. Met my fellow commitee members for the first time too. And I am really the only Singaporean in the commitee. But it was okay, I mean, its always good to know multi-cultural friends. =)

Today, I went for my Eyebrow treatment again. Lol. Second time to Pink Parlour. The lady who did my brows still remembered me, and my Dad. LOL! For those who dunno, my Dad went into that shop before and asked whether he could do his brows too. I was like O_O. Oh no!!! He is NOT my Dad. LOL! =X But as usual, he joked around, made everyone amused. Haha. I hate to admit it, but I love that part of my Dad. But noooo, I'm not going to say that in front of him. Haha!! =D And yes, my brows are back again. They were already slowly disappearing the past month. Haha. =X Wanted to do my brows then I dun have to draw them for the next month cause its the exam period. Heh. Laziness. =D

It has been a long ardous week. But its over! Haha. Well, most of it anyway. Anyhow, this Wednesday, we had a field trip to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. This is a tie-in to the lab session of BS305: Plant Biology. It was quite fun, though the climbing up and down in the muddy environment wasn’t too appealing. Haha. Saw quite a few interesting plants and trees around and I took plenty of pictures. Another reason was because we needed to use the pictures for our lab reports. But ya, here’s a few.

The tallest tree in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. For those who are not sure, the tallest peak in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve was about 160m tall. I have to say that it is not a very goog shot, but then again it is quite hard to take the entire tree in the photo. Lol. Anyway, there is a lightning rod attached to this tree too!

The trunk of the tree is making loops! Lol. Simply magnificent specimen!! (Dang, I’m sounding like a nerd. Wahaha!)

We also headed to Hindhede Quarry. Very pretty sight! Take a look! We took a clique shot and a group shot here. But I don’t have the pictures in my camera. =X


Also, while we were heading over to Hindhede Quarry, we stumbled upon a snake. Think it was a viper, because it had a triangle-shaped head. We were speculating whether it will attack us. LOL =X


After that, we entered the Visitor Centre and headed back home. Took a picture with my Professor, she was the one who helped me with my course matchings when I wanted to go to Brisbane for an exchange! She is a very nice and friendly Prof!!


As we were walking out from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, we saw this house that has about 5-6 Golden Retrievers! So cute!!



Took some photos, but apparently the dogs were biting each other, I hoped they were just playing. =S We didn’t dwell long, because they didn’t really smell that good. Lol.

Anyway, we went out separate ways after we took a bus to Little India. We were very lucky, because it started pouring after we boarded the bus. Woots~ =)

Ah. Its the recess week. But it doesn't really feel like one to me. Lol. =X Have been going to school to do URECA. A bit lagging on my main modules. And the results from my experiments couldn't be used too. Felt like it was kind of wasted. But its alright. I bet all scientists will meet such circumstances too. So I will jiayou! =)

Long week today. Cause the usual 4-day week has become extended to a 5-day week. Probably the same for next week too. =X Haha. Anyway, its still okay for me, have to go back lab to cultivate my cells. They're my new babies. LOL!!

Anyway, I was having a bad stomach for the last few days. Been waterfall-ing for consecutively 5 days. So I went to see the doctor. And he told me: No Milk-related products, no chilli, no fried stuff for the next 2 days. He recommended me eating "hard" stuff like Toasted Bread and Rice. Strangely when he said "hard" stuff, I was imagining myself eating a rock. =X I'm weird. HAHA. Anyway, because of that, me and my Mom went to Everything with Fries for dinner. Yesyes, I know. I'm supposed to be sick, and yet, why am I still eating at such a sinful restaurant. =S

The eye makeup was quite loud. And a few ppl were looking at me because of it. Must be thinking I'm some crazy chick with super thick eye makeup. Lol. But it was really very well done especially on camera. Kudos to the MUA, it was a guy apparently. And after that, we went to the Food Court for lunch. As usual, I headed for Pepper Lunch~
