Whoots! Ended Year 3 with a bang. Haha. Never have I had 3 days consecutive papers. Very hectic and at the third day, my eyes were very droopy. -.- Haha. And the next day, I fell sick. Kind of deserved it, cause I didn't take a well-deserved rest as I promise myself that I would. But anyway, it healed up fast and I managed to clear the remaining 2 papers after that. And now, all I am left with is one more semester of studying and the last semester for my FYP.

Been looking at a lot of people from my batch. Many of them are graduating, those with 3 year programs, and that got me thinking. What do I want to do with my life? Been thinking whether research is a career choice for me. I have always liked working in a lab, playing with my cells. (Gosh, I sound like a nerd. LOL) But, I thought, research is definitely something very different than what I am doing now. I am still being supervised and have a great mentor. But when I really do start my PhD, I would definitely not have such a luxury. So its back to the drawing board while I plan on what job I really wish to pursue. Haha. I know I have one more year to think about my future career prospects, but it's never to late to plan early. =) Nevertheless, I am not going to think about it, just yet. Lol. Contradictory, I know. That's really how a girl's mind works. =X

Anyway back to my life. Lol. Sorry for sounding so self-centered. =X My exams ended one day earlier than my clique of friends. So I was busy playing DOTA and catching up on Vampire Diaries and some Taiwanese Drama called The Fierce Wife/犀利人妻. Both have excellent story plots, especially the latter. The next day, I headed to Marina Square, Pink Parlour to do my brows. And I also signed a package of 7 brow waxing treatment for 2 years. So, saved about $10 overall. Well, I have been there so many times already, and I only entrust my brows to one lady. LOL! And later, I met up with Holly for dinner and shopping. I did no shopping, but Holly did. Lol. Pardon my lack of intelligence of brands, I just found out that Aldo is kind of branded. /facepalm I know I know. Haha. All I want are good shoes that looks nice and last long and are not too expensive. I'm simple like that. Haha. =P Then again, I think my parents and bf are lucky that I'm not swayed by brands. Well, not yet anyway. LOL! Probably when I start working and have the right to spend more, then I will indulge myself in brands. Till then, I am a poor girl. D= HAHA.

Anyway, I won a pair of tickets to watch Avengers this coming Monday! So happy! First time I blogged about Avengers, and I was lucky enough to bag myself one pair of tickets! I managed to save my bf $$ too. Haha. Think he was slightly happy, though he is still busy about his FYP and stuff. Gonna take loads of pictures then. See whether I'll meet anyone I know on Monday. So excited! =) Anyway, Imma going back to play DOTA! Skywrath Mage! =D

This has been a long and tedious week for me. But then again, cannot compare with other people, everyone has their own difficulties too. Lol. Anyway, this week feels especially ardous for me. =X Monday to Thursday was spent on URECA. About a few hours per day, especially Wednesday, 5 hours. But there wasn't any contamination for my cells, so HURRAY! XD Hate it when there's contamination. Haha. Anyway, Tuesday was the first general meeting for the URECA club. Met my fellow commitee members for the first time too. And I am really the only Singaporean in the commitee. But it was okay, I mean, its always good to know multi-cultural friends. =)

Today, I went for my Eyebrow treatment again. Lol. Second time to Pink Parlour. The lady who did my brows still remembered me, and my Dad. LOL! For those who dunno, my Dad went into that shop before and asked whether he could do his brows too. I was like O_O. Oh no!!! He is NOT my Dad. LOL! =X But as usual, he joked around, made everyone amused. Haha. I hate to admit it, but I love that part of my Dad. But noooo, I'm not going to say that in front of him. Haha!! =D And yes, my brows are back again. They were already slowly disappearing the past month. Haha. =X Wanted to do my brows then I dun have to draw them for the next month cause its the exam period. Heh. Laziness. =D

Happy Halloween everyone! Haha. I'm too old for Trick or Treats. But not old enough for shopping for treats for myself. Hee. =D Went out with Da to Orchard today. So happy! It's been SO long since we went out on an official date because everyday is a "Study and Mug Hard" day. Anyway, we went to Orchard MRT. Since we haven't been out to the "real" world since a few months ago, Da and I were pretty amazed with the new EZ-link card machine when we were tapping out. Lol. =X Gosh, it's like we were country bumpkins for a moment. Haha. Anyway, I planned today's itinery to have everything settled in Ion Orchard and lunch at Wisma Atria. =) YAY ME!!

First stop, we went to Watsons. I went to get my Eyebrow Pencil from K-Palette.

K-Palette was first launched in Singapore in 2007. But I only discovered its magic this year. Or probably because I became more vain after my trip back from Brisbane. LOL!! =X Anyway, this is the second eyebrow liner I bought from this brand. So I'm standing by this brand for being able to give me naturally-looking and long-lasting eyebrows throughout the day. =) Also, in the past I would use Eyeliner to draw my brows and smudge it after that so it would not look too dark. But with the K-Palette 24h real lasting eyebrow liner, I just have to brush it over my brows once or twice and it's done! =) Super time-saving product. Especially when you are always in a rush to leave the house. Highly recommended!! XD

After Watsons, Da and I headed over to Forever21! Think its the second time I have ever been to Forever21. Never bothered entering there before, cause I thought the clothes are for people of age 21. Sigh. No idea what I was thinking of. Lol. Anyway, I went there for "official" business, buying my friend's 21st birthday present.

Forever 21 vouchers! Haha. It was a good thing my friend had on a wishlist. Don't really have to crack my brains thinking of what to buy for her. Lol.

After that, I headed up to Sephora. First time in Sephora too. Ah, I am such a "virgin". LOL!! No pun intended. Haha. Anyway, I went there to buy the Sephora Perfecting Cover Foundation and Sephora Smoothing Primer. Both cost $29 and $20 respectively. Was trying to find replacements for the expensive cover-ups that I'm using now. So after reading through many opinions online and also from my friend's blog, Felicia. I decided to go for it. Haven't started using yet though, of course, since I just bought it today. LOL. =X

And after that, we headed to Wisma Atria for lunch. This place brings back memories while I was still working at Singapore Medical Group @ Paragon. Lol. My collegues back then were so fun-loving and so nice to me. They were always calling me "Xiao Mei". Haha. Really miss them. But anyway, lunch was awesome! Hokkien Mee and Char Kway Teow. After that, we headed to Dhoby Ghaut and got ourselves Mini Bubble Milk Tea from Eskimo. Awesome food and awesome company. =D

So ya, after today, I told myself that I am not going out at all till after exams. Well, there's still one more birthday party I have to attend, and that's it. Then its serious mugging time. Carn wait for exams to end!! Will blog next week, after my Daughter's 21st! Haha. Till then, rock on!~ XD

Went to Pink Parlour @ Marina Square to do my brows todayy! Whoots! Extremely large difference man! LOL.

Haha. The large difference is probably cause I didn't do anything to my brows when I took the before photo. Lol. But still, its a great change. =D

Shall start on the happenings on my brow treatment. My appointment was for 11.30AM on Saturday, 27th Aug. Arrived on time. Was asked to write about my contact details and stuff. Also, on previous treatments I may have done somewhere else. After that, I waited less than 5minutes before I was ushered in to a room. The lady who was doing up my brows was very friendly, I think her name was Liezl or something. Anyway, she was very easy-going and we soon started chatting while she was doing my brows. She did warn me that it might hurt when she's threading my brows, good thing that she did. Lol. It was quite painful to me, probably cause it was my "virgin" threading. Haha. She also explained that threading was easier (if you compare it to waxing) to control the hairs she was getting rid of. After that, she showed me the results. I actually had feminine-looking eyebrows!!! LOL. =X After that, she applied some lotion on my brow area to soothe the skin. Next up, Liezl applied a black brow colouring gel on my brows, and she took a leave while waiting for the colouring to settle. I looked VERY WEIRD then. But at least ppl from afar know that I definitely had eyebrows. HAHA. =X After about 5-10mins, Liezl came back and removed the gel and viola~ Eyebrows! Haha. =D

In conclusion, the whole treatment was quite well-done. Though I had to wash my face once before the eyebrow colour looked more natural. Haha. But other than that, it was great. Great service and great staff! Probably heading back 1-2 months later for another treatment. Till then~ XD
